Science AND Knitting???? Amazing!



I had NO idea that there was such a thing as conductive thread, much less that it could be used to develop a light-up, coded knitting pattern bag! Simply amazing.
Find the pattern and instructions for this in the spring edition of Knitty Magazine.

The conductive thread is pretty neat, though I'm still not totally sold on its usefulness in creating a pattern bag ( I think I'd go blind trying to recognize the instructions). Neat idea though!

Yeah, it was a pattern on knitty. If it was something other than blinking LED lights, I might go for it. At some point though I think this could evolve into something really neat, like the responsive clothing you see in Back to the Future II (because I'm a nerd and I compare everything to BttF)
